Qiong Tong Bao Jian / COLLECTION 2

Collection Two: seasonal comparisons across the Ten Stems

Compare the Jia/Yi, Bing/Ding, Wu/Ji, Geng/Xin and Ren/Gui pairs in two selected seasonal contexts, retaining general discussion, imagery, stem/month subjects and qualifications without extrapolating a full-year rule.

Five complete original readings compare the Jia/Yi, Bing/Ding, Wu/Ji, Geng/Xin and Ren/Gui pairs in two selected seasonal settings. General discussion, imagery and specific stem/month clauses have separate locators; named responses, degrees and exceptions retain their printed premises. The same Waseda witness keeps printed Wang distinct from catalogued Gang, with printing year, place and publisher unestablished. Its modern catalogue is neither commentary text nor a classical colophon. Selected reading does not supply full-year rules, a complete birth chart, full transcription or collation; figures and translations support cultural and textual study.

Comparing Jia and Yi Wood in two selected seasonal conditions

Keep each printed Jia/Yi subject, selected seasonal premise and qualified response before comparing the two Wood stems.

  2. READING 02

Distinguishing Bing and Ding Fire in cold and warm conditions

Compare the old print's selected summer/winter Bing and Ding clauses while keeping named objects, surroundings and permissions.

  3. READING 03

Reading Wu and Ji Earth through dryness, dampness and seasonal placement

Separate the actually witnessed Earth discussion from selected Wu/Ji seasonal clauses and retain their distinct conditions.

  4. READING 04

Separating Geng and Xin Metal imagery from seasonal clauses

Locate the print's actual Metal imagery separately from qualified Geng/Xin month clauses; a metaphor does not fill missing conditions.
