YUANHAI ZIPING / COLLECTION 1

Collection One: chart relations and reading methods

Begin with the edition, day stem and month, then examine relations, patterns, timing and auxiliary markers before reproducing a fictional chart.

Ten original readings begin with the edition, the day stem and the monthly framework, then examine conditional relations, patterns, timing and auxiliary stars. A reproducible fictional chart brings the method together. The working witness is the 1634 five-juan edition, with the ancient text, older commentary and our explanations distinguished. This is a study of cultural and textual reasoning, not scientific validation of prediction or a complete transcription of the book.

  1. READING 01

How to read Yuanhai Ziping: an edition, a map, and a method

Identify the text and commentary you are reading, then follow a practical route through Yuanhai Ziping without turning its formulas into isolated predictions.

  2. READING 02

Reading from the day stem: how to organize the whole chart

Build a relational chart map from the day stem, separate visible and hidden stems, and avoid mistaking Ten God names for fixed personality traits.

  3. READING 03

Why the month is the framework: season, hidden stems, and strength

Read the month command as seasonal context, distinguish hidden stems from visible emergence, and make strength judgments without simply counting elements.

  4. READING 04

Generation, control and transformation: when a relation matters

Read generation, control, restraint and combination as conditional relations, with worked comparisons that show why an arrow alone cannot decide a Yuanhai reading.

  5. READING 05

Direct Officer and Seven Killings: how much restraint is enough

Compare the book's overlapping Officer and Killings terminology, then test insufficient, suitable and excessive restraint without turning historical labels into moral judgments.

  6. READING 06

Wealth, Resource and Output: one change affects several relations

Follow the book's concrete Resource–Output example, then compare how adding Wealth can restrain Resource, receive Output and support Officer at the same time.

  7. READING 07

    When a Pattern Is Established

Test a Yuanhai Ziping pattern against its own required conditions, supporting relations, and counterexamples before accepting a label

  8. READING 08

    Natal Chart Decade and Year

Keep the natal configuration, ten year cycle, and annual pillar distinct while reading the conditional timing language of Yuanhai Ziping

  9. READING 09

Auxiliary Stars in the Whole Chart

Read an image checked auxiliary star rule, record its reference and target, and keep a lookup result separate from a claim about someone’s life

  10. READING 10

A complete fictional reading: from checked input to conditional conclusions

Follow one reproducible fictional chart through calculation, relational inventory, season, competing readings, decade and annual layers, with a clear record of what remains undecided.
